The Standard production process of PVC edge banding strips
This product is created using PVC powder as the main production material. The manufacturing process involves several meticulous steps to ensure high-quality and durable edge banding.
Step 1: a careful mixture of calcium powder and environmental stabilizer is stirred in a 2:1 ratio. Dop oil is added to the mixture, creating a blend of environmentally friendly and reusable materials. The resulting mixture serves as the raw material.
Step 2: the desired base color is incorporated into the raw material to achieve the desired PVC edge banding color. With the ingredients prepared, the granulation process can begin. The granulation process starts by feeding the mixed powder into a heating furnace, where it is cut into particles using a granulator.
Step 3: The particles are then air-dried and cooled through a sieve. Once sufficiently dried, a hair dryer is used to extract the raw material particles, which are then bagged and ready for the production workshop. Any waste particles generated during this process are collected and recycled for subsequent fusion and reuse, ensuring minimal waste.
Step 4: The raw material particles are then fed into a plastic extruder. The machine is configured with corresponding size and thickness settings, followed by heat treatment. The edge-pressing die in the machine skillfully presses the material, transforming it into a complete PVC edge banding. The newly formed edge banding is conveyed through a water-cooling area, maintaining its shape and integrity. This entire process takes approximately 7-8 minutes and can produce over 100 meters of solid-color edge banding tape.
For customers with specific customization needs, the PVC edge banding with a background color is transferred to the factory printing area for further processing. Here, a printing master expertly matches the colors according to the customer’s specifications.
Short sample prints are made to ensure a color match of 95% or higher. Once approved, bundles of PVC edge banding are sent for production.
Regarding patterns, the printing master selects the corresponding pattern mold based on the customer’s desired stripes. The material is then heated and processed using a molding machine, resulting in a fully customized PVC edge banding product.
Step 5: involves cutting and packaging the finished products with the assistance of packaging workers. These PVC edge bandings are ready to be used as standard furniture edge banding or as a stylish finishing touch for door frames.
